Since Head-fi won't let me post today...

My Mother needs a new pair of wireless headphones. The one she's been using now (for computer use only pretty much) she's had for a long time. they are really crappy. Quality is real bad, they are real uncomfortable, and they cut out real easy. She wants some headphones that are the opposite of that. Probably only wants to spend under 50 bucks. Was looking at those Sennheiser RS-120s, those look nice, but a little out of the price range probably. Can anyone recommend some decent wireless headphones? Otherwise I'll just tell here to spring for the RS120s. I wouldn't touch wireless headphones myself so i don't know much about them. Thanks.

Answer
$50 won't quite cut it. You can get an average pair of RCA wireless for about $55, but they won't be a lot of improvement. Sennheisers are excellent and last forever. If the RS120s are too much, look at the RS110. They are $10-$20 cheaper and still pretty good. Sennheiser won't put their name on anything not worth owning.

I've been curious about audiometric headphones that they hook up to test your hearing?

Q. i found sennheiser hda-280's were mentioned on head-fi org as well as telephonics tdh39 are these types of headsets coveted by audiophiles? i understand they are expensive but so are other headphones specifically advertised for your stereo. plus i like the red and blue ( silly and childish blonde girl voice!)

Answer
I would not waste the money - none of them look comfortable.

Any $200 plus set of normal headphones will perform just as well, be comfortable and not look dorky.
