What are good headphones for video Editing?
My boyfriend is in television production and management. He does a lot of video editing. I want to get him a good set of headphones for Christmas but I don't really know what the best deal would be. Quality yet affordable. I will pay as much as $80. (or a little more if needed) any suggestions?

Answer
Good production headphones aren't very fancy, they just do their job well and don't color the sound (=trying to make it sound better than it is).

Most anything in the Sony MDR-V series will be fine, and if he ever takes them to shoots he'll blend right in.

Consider:

The latest (MDR-7506) are really the exact thing sound recordists would use.

P.S. Does he really need headphones? The best thing for editing is to use speakers :-)

Answer
Check these out. They are around $86, but they retail for about double that.

These are amazing! You won't be disappointed!
