What are the best headphones on the market?

I have $300 to spend on a great pair of headphones. I've looked at the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones. They look very nice and from the reviews they sound great. I would like to know if these are good headphones to choose. And what other headphones are good that are NOT in ear headphones! Only headphones that are over the ear like the Monster Beats. Thanks!

How good are the Panasonic RP-HC55 headphones?

I've heard that they are the best in ear noise cancelling headphones on the market. I would like to hear from someone who owns them if they are worth it and are they better than every other headphones.

I bought and the Panasonic is a good brand name but the particular headphones mentioned are NOT the best .
