It seems like I have to buy new headphones every other month because the sound just stops working in one ear. I don't think it's a brand problem, because I purchase a different brand of ear buds every time I buy new ones. What causes this to happen so quickly and is there anyway that it can be prevented?

My new Philips in-ear headphones just broke, and I am planning to buy a new, more durable one. Can you guys suggest a more durable headphone set?

The Bose earbuds are pricey (about $100), but also comfy with different sized silicone tips, sound great, and are durable because the wires are thicker than other brands. They also come with a little zippered case to prevent them from being damaged. Highly recommended if they are within your budget.
