Bose headphones vs beats?

I'm thinking about buying a nice pair of headphones, I really like the BOSE AE2 headphones but everyone says beats are better. And people that say that beats are just made to look nice but music quality sucks. What should I get?

BOSE AE2- $150
Beats HSU Solo- $199
BOSE QuietComfort3 Acoustic- $349
Beats Studio- $350

Which ones should i get? I can get any of these but i want some good opinions.

Beats are not better. Whoever says beats are better must have never actually tried both beats and bose.

Bose is better by far. Beats are just made to look nice, and to capitalize off of that "by dr. dre" thing.

Get. Bose. Amazing sound fidelity.

Besides, Bose is cheaper.

Good Alternative headphone to Beats?

Need to buy a good pair of full ear covering headphones. I know Beats sell good, but i'm positive they're not worth the price. I'm sure someone has other headphones that work just as well and cost a fraction of the price.

Looking to use them mostly in libraries while studying and doing school work so something that doesn't leak much would be best! Will take all opinions into consideration, thanks!

You are 100% correct about Beats (and Bose and Skullcandy). The quality doesn't justify the price.
The most popular (good) consumer style headphone is the Ath-M50. Also consider MDR-V6, HD201, or SRH-440.
I will point out that open back headphones generally sound better, but they leak worse than the Titanic which you said you don't want.
