Which headphones are best for extra bass?

I had the sony extra bass headphones but my little brother got to them :( so now i have to buy new 1s but i was wondering which headphones have better sound and extra bass and y. Bose noise canceling headphones $300 or Beats by Dr. Dre $300

Well... If you liked your Sony Xbass: then get another one. I'm not sure which model you had - but the one I liked is the MDR-XB700. They are not too expensive and the bass along with other freq. responses are very good.

I had the Bose QC15's for travel for a few weeks and didn't like them... their active Noise Cancellation feature could not be turned off and is also uncomfortable [pressure feeling on ears]. If you turn the NC feature off - then there's no sound. Their Bass is ok - but the Dre's have slightly more... and their sound quality is also better.

I suggest buying both from a big box store... then take advantage of the 30day return policy... keep the one you like.
