right now i have the bose around ears. They're nice. paid 125. great sound quality. but i'm just wondering if i'd be better off returning them and buying the cheaper klipsch image s4 earbuds and save some money..
but i just don't know which is gonna have better sound quality.

It isn't really fair to compare full-size headphones to in-ears in most cases. However, in this case I can say for sure that the S4 are the better headphone. In order to achieve the "popular" sound signature that they are so famous for, Bose designs their headphones to have a very colorful sound signature. The S4's are not guilty of this - they are very neutral and balanced headphones. They would definitely be the audiophile's pick, but you may be used to the "fake" sound of Bose and apple earphones by now.

All highs, no lows, it must be Bose. Klipsch is based in Indiana and was founded in Arkansas. They also produce professional grade speakers, not junk science. I don't have personal experience with either specific model, but I'd buy Klipsch over Bose any day of the week.
