What are good headphones for video Editing?

headhurtz

My boyfriend is in television production and management. He does a lot of video editing. I want to get him a good set of headphones for Christmas but I don't really know what the best deal would be. Quality yet affordable. I will pay as much as $80. (or a little more if needed) any suggestions?

Answer
Check these out. They are around $86, but they retail for about double that.

These are amazing! You won't be disappointed!

Good Headphones for Video Editing?

Using them in a class. They need to have clear crisp sound, and minimal noise leakage and good noise cancellation. And they can't be to hard on my wallet.

Answer
It depends what you preferred (closed-back / opened-air, headphones / buds etc.).

If you want decent quality for a cheap price - look into Sennheiser (models HD 201, HD202, HD203, HD205 II and beyond - depends on your budget).
Another maker to look for will be Audio Technica (ATH-M20, ATH-M30, ATH-M40SF, ATH-M35, etc.).
