Can Bluetooth headphones be regular headphones for phones?

Birdy Golf

I am going on a long trip and i don't want to disturb anyone with my music that is on my samsung phone. I was wondering if i could buy a bluetooth headset instead of headphones that are made for my phone. PLEASE HELP!!!
(p.s. it is not a smart phone)

Answer
The Bluetooth must support A2DP, which is what enables it to receive media audio from the phone, in addition to call audio. So ask a salesperson which ones have that.

headphones..?

ok first off...ive gone through like 6 pairs of headphones this year...and i allways thought it was the head phones.. but the headphones work perfectly in my stereo... so i was wondering if maybe for some odd reason,.. my computer could just only play thru 1 ear phone... bcuzz when i put the plug thing in all the way it plays the right ear phone and then when i take it out a lil..bit it plays the right..has this ever happened to anyone b4?

Answer
Get a stereo adapter, or maybe your sound card's jack is defective. If you are using a standard 1/8" stereo plug, it should work in the computer. Every standard stereo plug is a "ring-tip-sleeve" configuration. If you look at the headphone plug, it is divided in three sections. The tip or end of the plug is the contact to the left side of the headphones. Then there should be a band next which is the ring. That is the contact to the left side. The sleeve is the remainder of the plug. That is actually a common contact between left and right. It sounds like your adapter/headphone plug is not correct for the computer. Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. Either you have a defective jack in the sound card or you don't have the correct adapter for the headphones. Make sure the adapter/headphones has those 3 contacts. If everything is 1/8" there is no reason why it shouldn't work.
