What specifications are need for a good set of headphones?

Any website/brand suggestions welcome. Price range of about £30 - £80. I listen to alot of heavy music, Rock, metal, and even the more indie or chart music at the moment.

They have an extensive set of reviews of all sorts of headphones and prices. Note: Though they usually have good prices there, it is always worth shopping around :)

Another web site worth checking out is www.audiocubes.com, good 'phones there.

P.S. If you could get a deal somewhere on the Audio-Technica ATH M50 Headphones I reckon they would be perfect for you - amazing sound. Normal price is a bit above your budget though.

I have gone through three different brands of headphones (apple, iLuv, skull candy ink'd) and theyve all broken the same way with the left headphone not working anymore and icant keep buying new headphones everytime mines break what are the best type of headphones to get that wont break as easily and arnt to expensive (somewhere between $10-$30) and is there anything i can do so that they wont break
