Best ear/headphones under $50?

NayLoMo6C

I just bought a Cowon S9 (best sounding MP3 player ever created) and I am looking to get a new pair of earphone or headphone but with a budget of $50 or less. I used to have the Shure SE-420 but had to sell it to pay off some debt. I am looking for something with great sound and noise isolation, at the same time really durable, as my other headphones have ALWAYS died on me. I am currently leaning towards the Sennheiser CX300s, but reviews have mentioned that it isn't durable. What are some other good phones out there?

Answer
Seems like you're used to higher-end audio, what with the SE420s and the S9. The CX300s will seem severely lacking in detail to you and the bass will be too muddy.

MeElec AI-M9 ($20 overstock.com) - Incredible detail for the price, very balanced, good treble extension and clean bass, great customer support
Soundmagic PL21 ($21 dealperfect.com) - Powerful bass, very full-sounding, not as accurate and balanced as PL30 but a more "popular" sound signature
Soundmagic PL30 ($23 mp4nation.net) - Fun, forward mids, lots of accessories, comfy
Lenntek Sonix ($30 smalldog.com) - Deep bass, focus on mids and lows, cheap, very well-built
Head-Direct RE2 ($39 head-direct.com) - Very detailed headphones for the price if somewhat cold and bright, forward upper mids/highs, subdued but accurate bass. Need warm amp to shine.
MeElec AI-M6 ($40 overstock.com) - Same as AI-M9 in a different (more comfortable) form factor. I very much prefer these to the M9.
Maximo iM-590 ($50 amazon.com) - Punchy, comfortable, very well-balanced. Great build quality and accessories. 2yr warranty with excellent customer service.
Soundmagic PL50 ($55 dealperfect.com) - Smooth, full, balanced, relatively detailed, somewhat on the warm side. Has good extension on both ends.
Nuforce NE-7M ($55 amazon.com) - Strong bass, fun, slightly warm, popular bang-for-the-buck recommendation, great customer service

Need a good new pair of headphones under £50?

I need a decent new pair of headphones. My priority is Noise Leakage, I like my music quite loud, and I am sick of having to turn it down for the benefit of other people. I'm not sure if this is the same thing as Noise Canceling? Decent sound quality and bass would be welcome extras, and they have to be in-ear iPod style headphones. If possible under £50 ($70). Thanks for any help.
I live in the UK, hence the £ sign. So no I will not go to WalMart. And I think it's pathetic someone could not give me a little more detail.

Answer
noise canceling phones have a small microphone in them that detects what kind of noise is around you, and generates a tone 180 degrees of that. it kind of cancels out the noise, but it also makes kind of a 'white noise.'
if you don't want 'phones that disturb people around you, you'll most likely want some closed ones, instead of open ones.
Sennheiser's a great brand, and for closed phones in the low price range, they have the hd201, hd202, and hd280 pro. the 280s are all around better, better quality, sound quality, noise cancellation, insulation, and comfort, but they're also more expensive. Comparing the 202s to the 201s, the 201s have a tiny bit better quality, and are more balanced. the 202s are more bass-heavy, and sound better than the 201s when plugged into an amp or receiver.
