What are the best headphones on the market?

I have $300 to spend on a great pair of headphones. I've looked at the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones. They look very nice and from the reviews they sound great. I would like to know if these are good headphones to choose. And what other headphones are good that are NOT in ear headphones! Only headphones that are over the ear like the Monster Beats. Thanks!

I've been thinking about getting some headphones (over the ear) lately, and have been thinking about getting some Skullcandy's. I've had good experience with them, but I'm not sure if the headphones have better or worse sound quality than others. What should I get?

(they won't leak sound like the PortaPros)
