I don't know where you listen to music, but the "open phones" are not useful outside because people around you WILL hear your music. Also, full-size headphone are not ideal for portable use because they are rather big and usually have longer cords.

I have $300 to spend on a great pair of headphones. I've looked at the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones. They look very nice and from the reviews they sound great. I would like to know if these are good headphones to choose. And what other headphones are good that are NOT in ear headphones! Only headphones that are over the ear like the Monster Beats. Thanks!
