Should i buy these skullcandy headphones?

Little Mis

I'm really into these skullcandy headphones --> http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9371132/c_1/1|category_root|Home+entertainment+and+sat+nav|14419512/c_2/2|14419512|Headphones+and+earphones|14419643/c_3/3|cat_14419643|Over-ear+headphones|14419648.htm

And i was wondering whether anyone knew if these are good, or if they'll be good by reading the description?
They're £24.99 Skullcandy Uprock Headphones, and they have a 3.5mm jack. Is that the common size and would it fit my phone the Samsung Galaxy S and my MP4? Sorry for so many questions but i want to make sure they are really good before i buy them!
Thanks x
Also, do Skullcandys last a long time?

Hi, I'm a 13 year old girl and I asked a similar question when I was thinking of buying my *cough* pink *cough* headphones (I really regret buying the pink ones now, they look kinda stupid... I had planned on buying the white ones, but argos didn't have them in stock, so I picked the pink ones. stupid me.) someone did warn me to buy a better brand, but i really wanted some so I didn't listen to them.
I bought mine last summer (summer 2011) and they're still okay, still look like new, but they rattle quite a bit, which can be quite annoying. They've stretched as well in a way, it becomes easier to widen them which leads me to believe that they will eventually snap, but I'm not sure. These are my first pair of headphones so I didn't really want to spend a lot on them and I only use them at home, I don't take them out anywhere. Also, maybe the fact that only I use them and I don't chuck them across the room and stuff. I don't think they'll last very long now (probably not because they were only about £25 to start with, which isn't much for a pair of headphones) They still sound great and there's nothing wrong with the quality of the sound but it's the design I hate. The flat cable is nice to have, I still don't know how it's 'tangle free' though, as they still get a bit tangled sometimes.. so I'm planning on buying a pair of beats solo HD headphones next February because I know the sound will be better and they'll last longer + look better... I'm glad i tried Skullcandy first though.
Yes, the 3.5mm jack is the most common jack size and will fit most devices, like iphone's, MP4's and your Samsung (I think it will, I've just googled it and it looks like it should) It's really up to you if you want some, but I'm just saying that I don't wear them in public cuz they look weird. I've had them for about 6 months, and they've done well considering I use them everyday. Hope this helped =D

Buying Headphones, Please Read?

Okay, so I am down to my final 5 headphones, please tell me your top few or just your top one you think I should get. If you own any of these, reviews are appreciated. Recommendations are great, but if it is endorsed by a rapper or pop star, forget it. Sound quality is my first priority, and if that means compromising sound isolation, so be it::

Hey, J90

There are a wide range of headphones available on the market at the moment, and for the most part, the quality of the craftmanship and sound will depend on the price that you are willing to spend. In the lower price range (less than $50), you will be able to find some no too shabby headphones that will be perfect for somebody that is just looking to listen to music on their iPod or computer, and are not full-on audiophiles. Once you get to the medium price range ($50-150), you will get a good selection of amazing quality headphones that would be perfect for nearly everyone that is not involved with music professionally. The sound quality of these headphones will be suberb, should block out nearly all background noise, and are going to be of a quality craftmanship that will last for quite a long time. On the more expensive side of things ($150 and up), you are going to get into professional quality headphones. For the normal person this will be a bit too much as they provide a quality of sound that is unmatched, but is most often only sought after by professionals working on their own music (or the type of consumers who make sure that their house is hooked up with the best speaker systems on the market).

Depending on how much you are willing to spend, my top five choices (from cheapest to most expensive) would be:

Sennheiser HD 202 II Professional

http://headphones.respectablereviews.com/sennheiser-hd-202-ii-professional/

This model provides good insulation against background noise and has a solid bass range and response time. Perfect for somebody wanting a cheap set of quality headphones.

Sennheiser RS120

http://headphones.respectablereviews.com/sennheiser-rs120/

These are quite affordable for wireless headphones. They have an open-ear system with a strong bass response. Because they are wireless, you don't even have to be in the same room as the device that is transmitting the sound, giving you ultimate flexibility while listening to music. Very lightweight and a high quality. I have this set for using around my condo.

Sennheiser HD280 Professional

http://headphones.respectablereviews.com/sennheiser-hd-280-pro/

These are well into the midrange quality headphones. This set is corded, but provides a much better sound quality than the RS120. They provide up to 32 dB attenuation of outside noise, so you do not need to worry about much from background noise, even in somewhat noisy environments.

Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD

http://headphones.respectablereviews.com/beats-by-dr-dre-solo-hd/

These are on the high-end of the spectrum of headphones. They are quite comfortable and are able to produce an amazing sound quality. If you're looking for something that is "in-style" and provides some of the best sound quality that you can find at this price range, then these are the headphones for you.

Bose Quietcomfort 15

http://headphones.respectablereviews.com/bose-quietcomfort-15/

I use this set when I'm playing live shows. They are some of the best headphones you can get right now, are very comfortable while wearing for many hours at a time (even in hot, sweaty clubs), block out most background noise and provide nearly unmatched sound quality. For somebody looking for professional quality headphones, or with a big budget for the best money can buy, then these are the headphones for you.

The most important thing while choosing the headphones, is the consider what you will be using them for and do not over estimate how much quality you actually need. If you're looking for something to use to and from school or just while you're hanging out, listening to music, you probably do not need top of the line Bose. Good luck, J90, and I hope you find the perfect set!
