Yamaha Keyboard Headphones?

Q. I have a Yamaha YPT-210 keyboard and am looking for headphones for it. The problem is I don't know which ones I need the instruction manual doesn't say what mm jack is needed and I have no idea what to get. Does anyone know which ones i need?? Also I'm not looking for professional ones just normal ones around £7/£10.. I'm only 14.. Thanks in advance...

Answer
Well just look at the head phones jack on your keyboard, is it a big hole or little hole. If it is a big hole then you need head phones that has a 1/4 inch male connector, if it is a small one such as mp3 player's it is an 1/8 inch and you can use those head phones.

I'm going to guess that it's probably the big 1/4 inch jack. You can also buy a 1/8th inch to 1/4th inch connector and use your every day head phones. This is what they look like. (See link) You can find them at walmart or radio shack or sometimes Dollar General or Biglots.

Don't pay over a couple of dollars for it because if you pay more then you'll get ripped off.
Those adapters aren't very expensive but some people try to jack up the price.
It doesn't have to be gold plated or the more expensive one (if given the choice) the cheap one will suffice and sounds just as good.

Sorry I don't know how much that is in your currency but I do know they're really cheap and if should pay a little of nothing or your getting ripped off.

Piano keyboard headphone jack?

Kayla

I need to connect my headphone to the keyboard and I want to know are all keyboard headphone jacks 1/4' plug?

Specifically for Casio PX130, thank you!

Answer
"The on board speakers are OK but not the best. By the way, Casio uses a 1/8" (like what you find on an ipod) headphone jack rather than a 1/4" jack used on the P-155. Considering what the 130 offers in terms of price and functionality, it is very nice."
