Do all noise cancelling headphones play music?

barcafan

Do they all act as regular headphones too. Like to play music from my ipod.

Or are there only certain kinds which can play music as well as do noise cancelling?

And if they all can play music, does the noise cancelling feature work at the same time while I'm listening to music?

Thankyou
How can I tell if they do both when I'm buying online?

which one of these can do both?

Answer
don't spend your money on noise canceling earphones or headphones they will drain your ipod battery fast. you need to get isolation earphones which are more efficient than canceling earphones.

also the sound drivers in isolation earphone produce cleaner sound. this is from gadgetronx

Premium quality titanium drivers (earphone speakers) carry bass sound waves incredibly fast without distorting the sound or without the drivers losing their natural form. Bass sound waves are longer by nature, so it takes longer for bass energy to really get started. The unique shape of Tredici Bass earphones features a lengthened sound chamber to let those waves develop properly.

btw to directly answer your question.

Yes, the only difference with canceling headphones from any other type earphones is that they have a circuit board inside of them. this circuit board is the magic behind the canceling ability of the headphones. this circuit also demands more power from your playing source like your ipod or mp3 player and drains the battery more quickly than usual because the circuit needs power to perform the canceling feature.

Or are there only certain kinds which can play music as well as do noise cancelling?
isolating earphones are more effective than using sound canceling earphones. this technology is better than canceling earphones for one because they do not drain your ipod battery. also sound isolation is louder and blocks out more background and gives louder bass, treble, and mid tones. you get more music experience from isolation earphones. if you dont trust my opinion than go to your local electronic store and try out the canceling earphones and the isolation earphones and see which sound better.

And if they all can play music, does the noise cancelling feature work at the same time while I'm listening to music?
kind of, but like i said above it will demand more power so your listening time will be cut in half because you will need to charge your battery more often

hope this helps

Audiophile Headphones playing bass music?

Trevor All

Okay I understand that Audiophile headphones are created to put out the true sound of music and don't color the sound like more traditional headphones on the market today. However I want lasting headphones with precise and accurate bass reproduction. I mean I will eventually buy DJ headphones but im just curious to know whether or not these headphones can produce a powerful Bass experience if the song permits? When I mean if the song permits im talking like Charlie Traplin bass here. I understand that they aren't the kind of headphones that can be used with a phone or something, im just curious to know if the bass on these breed of headphones can be as powerful considering their emphasis on their highs and mids? example: Sennheiser HD 650

Answer
It's difficult to advise...

Sound is 'subjective', I can recommend a set of headphones that give me the most enjoyable listening experience...that doesn't mean that you will enjoy them...personal taste is a huge factor with sound.

I personally prefer music 'raw'...with the minimum interference from 'equalization'...not everyone is the same and I accept this...If you prefer a particular sound then with some patience and the addition of a 'graphic equalizer' you can tailor the sound to meet your requirements...some headphone amplifiers also add their own signature to the way your headphone sounds and might give a more satisfying listening experience...trial and error comes into play.

To answer your question...Yes you can find a satisfying headphone, you have to know how to look and where to look to get the opportunity to test the headphones before you part with your cash...it's possible to find a satisfying listening experience...I didn't say it would be cheap.
