My volume on my headphones are dead? (VOLUME CONTROL)?

Sinisa Sub

I've tried even unplugging them, and plugging. Nothing. The sound is off even with the speakers.
Here is what happens when I open Volume Control:

Any help is greatly appreciated!
It's not even working with the speakers. Something about Volume Control is bad. :/

Have you got the right head phones for the right machine your plugging them into, for an example we'll say you have a Pioneer product and the model number is ABCD1234 and the owner's manual says U need to get Pioneer headphones ABCD4567 for the headphones to have peak volume control do you know what I'm trying to tell you

What do i do if Sony headphones are messing up my volume control?

I'm thinking i need a new pair of headphones because mine are changing the volume by themselves. At least I'm thinkig that it's them because when i play music without the headphones i don't have a problen at all. What do you guys think?

Answer
If your headphone has a volume control option, then when that gets loose, it can change the volume. If you what to continue with the same, you can make if fixed by some arrangement(tape etc), or may be remove that and use it without volume control.
If there is no such option of volume setting then try it with any other device and see if this shows the same variation as with your music player, as the problem may be at device side too.

If not then you should replace your headphones.
