Best ear/headphones under 50 bucks?

Roel

What are some really high quality headphones (in-ear, over, etc) that deliver great bass, great mids, great highs under 50 bucks? That are better than the Skullcandy Ink'd?
I already own the skullcandy ink'd, in fact i have them on right now. Just need to know if there is anything better that is still within 50 buck range.

Answer
There are a lot of choices for earphones / earbuds in the under $50 category. Important things for you to consider are how comfortable you want them to be for long listening sessions, whether you will use them while exercising and how much isolation you want from external sounds.

For a fairly inexpensive option that should fit within your budget, I would recommend MEElectronics M6 earphones over any of the models from Skullcandy. The MEElec M6's have exceptional sound quality for their price point, and come with a range of silicon eartips to help you find the most comfortable fit.

I have tried multiple Skullcandy models (including the Ink'd) and the only one I found to sound decent were the Full Metal Jackets. They have good sound quality, although it is a pretty bass-heavy sound signature, and come with both silicon and foam eartips to help you find the most comfortable fit. They will work with an iPhone or iTouch, too. A lot of people question the build quality of Skullcandy earphones, but so far at least I have not faced any issues with my set. They retail for $80 but usually be found for less than $50 online.

More details and a review of each of these models can be found in the links below.
