80 W on a headphone? Do you want to go deaf?
There is no receiver or device that would provide 80 W on a headphone.

Headphones under $80?

WillEe

I Need Headphones , that don't leak and have sufficient passive isolation , that when I on music , no passive noise can leak in.

I Don't Prefer Earbuds though because I don't believe that they can give me the bass I want for under $80. Though Bass is NOT all I need. I hear Pop , Hip Hop , Acoustics , and just about everything.

I don't need the best , but I Just want something which can satisfy my needs.
which to simplify :
. Preferably Not Earbuds
. Exceptional Passive Noise Isolation and no leakage out
. Good Bass but not overwhelming the mids and treble ( like the Sony MDR )
. Under $80
. I Listen to Pop , Rock , Hip Hop , and those with bass !
. Good with acoustics.

IF headphones do not meet one or more of them , please specify which :) Thank You !
Oh and I want it to be a classic design
something like the SHURE SRH240A
which I find it quite awesome. Comments about the SHURE SRH240A ?
Heard the bass isn't that good.
And Please no Skull Candy

I'm a very specific guy :) sorry

Answer
Sennheiser HD 201 OR HD202 for a good sound at budget price with good isolation. The 201 has consistently good reviews and they are very cheap.

For a USA-made phone around $80 the Grado SR60 is a great choice. . A real modern classic.

Grado is a world-class maker as Sennheiser is. Also look at Beyerdynamic , another top quality maker.

There's no apology needed for caring about your choice of equipment. Happy listening.

Fancy a higher budget?
Err.....well, we can all dream. The silver case in front of the matching amp holds the key to switch the amp on with.
Resale price around $12000+ for the amp and phones

Good $50-80 In-Ear Headphones?

Alex

So I'm looking for some good quality headphones that deliver great sound. I listen to House/Trance Music mostly but all kinds of electronic music now and then. I also would like them to be a little stylish like! Thanks!
Also I have tired Skullcandy (they were $20 and I didn't feel like they were worth it. I mean Cheaply made!) and I definitively can tell the difference in sound quality from my brothers sol republics that are much better for not a bad price!

Answer
Well I like to buy SkullCandy brand in-ear headphones. They give off awesome sound! And they are pretty stylish! You can buy them in all different styles and colors. But they are only like $20 not even $50. And places like Ross, Marshals, TJ MAXX, etc. you can get them for like $8. Even though they are pretty cheap, they are great quality! I have bought like 20 different pairs of them cause they have come to be my favorite brand for them. But if you want more expensive ones that are awesome quality too then go for Beats by Dre in-ear head phones. But I think you will be surprised at how well SkullCandy ones work. They are also really comfortable just fyi! I hope this helps! :)

How long will it take to get my money back on a cancelled eBay purchase?

I ordered a pair of $80 headphones on eBay from a good seller but he takes a long time to ship. I tried contacting him but he won't answer, I paid instantly with Paypal. If I cancel the order how long will it take to get my money back?

Answer
If he's seen it, you should get your money back instantly as soon as he does the transaction.

If I were you, I would raise a ticket through Paypal if you have done all you can at your end (including using eBay's own grievance procedure). However, your complaint HAS to be legitimate - you'd normally allow 28 days for delivery, and if that hasn't expired then you don't yet have a complaint.

I've made claims before and it takes a while to go through all the hoops, but Paypal has always sorted it in the end.

Best way to deal with long headphone wires?

Q. I use my iPod mostly for biking and going to the gym, and the $80 earbud headphones I bought for it are great but the wires are about 4 feet long. I either have my iPod at my hip or strapped on my arm so I only really need about 2 feet max. In the middle part I folded the wires over themselves a few times and used cable ties to tie them together, so the length is about 2 feet now but it's annoying because the ties hurt my back.

Any other ideas on how to deal with the extra cable length?

Answer
Yes, recently heard of something but dang if I can remember its name - it's a thingie you get that has a retractor. There's a radio technology show I listen to, and they talked about it on there a few weeks ago. They have a website - getconnectedradio.com - so they will have a listing of it or a past show podcast.
(sorry, don't know how to give you an actual link - my son has to teach me how!)

I'm looking for noise cancelling over the ear headphones, somewhere between $50- $80. Would BOSE headphones be a good bet? I'll be outside most of the time in a noisy city so I'm looking for quality stuff
im looking for [over the ear] only, earbuds hurt my ears and never stay put

Answer
Bose or Sony, they are typically the two best headphone makers there is. Sony is generally cheaper then Bose, but i don't think their quality is any less then Bose. I would check out them both and then determine whats best for price and quality.

What Brand of In-ear headphones are the best?

Peter

I heard a lot about Klipsch image S4, and it gotten so many high reviews at the price of 80 dollars, I live in Canada it seems I can't find any stores that sell this headphone, what other alternative are available at the same price? Bose, I want to hear all your opinions. Like is Skull Candy and all of the other 80 dollar priced headphones any good? I use it for a lot of music, and gaming. I want a lot of noise cancelling and very good quality sound with "Heavy Bass"

Answer
Browse BestBuy.com and SonyStyle.com. FYI: Sony has a new HD wi-fi device that includes noise-cancelling headphones and 100 free songs.

Personally, I think Klipsch and Bose are both way over priced. Altec-Lansing and Sony make some with bass-boost and really good sound quality.

And oh yeah, don't bother with skullcandy -- you'll be very disappointed.
