How are the Tritton AXPro 5.1 gaming headphones?

joe j

I want to know if you can connect them to the tv and hear sound for yourself and if the speakers on the tv will continue to make noise?

Answer
It depends on the TV you are using, and what outputs the TV has. Most newer TVs will allow you to output audio through either Digital TOSLINK or standard RCA composite outputs. Once you connect the headphones to your TV, there will be no sound coming out of the TV speakers.

If your TV has TOSLINK output, it will definitely work with the AX Pro headphones since they have digital audio output.

Will 5.1 headphone work like 5.1 Speakers in terms of Amplification?

I want to get a headphone that can amplify sound output because i do not want to disturb anyone in my building

Answer
Its relative. If you strap your speakers to your head you wont need to turn the volume up as loud.

5.1 headphones are just a virtual simulation of true 5.1 using circuitry.

If you need more volume than what your amp can output to headphones, which I doubt very much as you ears will last about a week before they die with the sound all the way up then you can buy a headphone amplifier which will give further power output than what a standard amp/receiver headphone jack will output. Which will increase the possibility you will blow your headphones up if you dont burst your eardrums first.
