Wearing Beats by Dr Dre immediately identifies you as being a fashion victim who knows nothing about headphones.
At least wearing Sennheisers makes you look like someone who knows headphones. Spend the same money and get something better, or spend less money and get something just as good.
Beats are actually made by Monster Cable - the people who try to convince you that it's really worth spending £100 on a HDMI cable, when you can actually get the same result from an £1.49 one from that well known auction site.
Some things to remember about Dr Dre:
1) he is not a Doctor
2) he's got no audio engineering background
3) he's a 'rap' artist. Not sure where sound quality comes in when shouting into a microphone accompanied by a drum machine.
4) it's a marketing ploy. Please don't fall for it.

Q. i want to get one of those big paris of headphones that blocks out all other sound so you can only hear the music and you dont have to listen to it so loud. i had a pair that came with my guitar but they broke. i really liked them because the sound was really good and crystal clear. i dont remember what they are called. can anyone tell me what kind of headphone they are and what is the best kind to get like brand wise or hertz wize or anything, sorry if they have nothing to do with hertz i just dont really know anything about what to look for in them i was thinking about buying some on ebay but i dont know what kind is good and what is bad like if you ever buy a set of headphones from the dollar tree by accident like i did one time they go about as loud as a whisper and they are a real piece of crap. so i dont want to buy something that doesnt work that well. i would like them to be able to go pretty loud. thank you have a great day.

lol i agree i hate cheap headphones. sennheniser or shure or bose are all good brands. but sennheniser is known for good quality, sound reducing the outside world, it is like crystal clear.
