I dont want to go and buy like 500 dollar headphones but are the 100 dollar bose headphone a good buy? Do you really hear much of a difference? and what file format should i convert my songs to on itunes and how do I do it? is .MP3 the best?

.mp3 would probably be your best choice, yes.

As for the headphones? I'm not entirely sure,...but, the higher the price, more likely those will be a better set for you... The most expensive headphones I've bought were around 15 dollars, haha. They usually mess up..

I heard they have very good audio quality and decided to buy one, but atm I don't have too much money and can only afford to pay about 100-200 dollars. I want to buy one of those that go around the ears.

going from your preferences, the hd 558, which is a fullsize open headphones.
also, the hd429/439/449 are good fullsized closed headphones

if you can push your budget a bit or find it on sale, the hd 598 is the best bang for the buck headphones sennheiser has, and is considered one of the best its price range.

if you want sennheiser's best closed headphones, hd25-ii, but its on ear.

IPod: Yes. Headphones: No. Good sound quality is worth every penny (though I bet you could find something adequate for half to one-third of the price). IPods aren't cool- you can spend much less for another mp3 player. Just a status symbol...
