I WILL EAT

I want to get some headphones for school (I'm 15 in sophomore year of high school), that look really cool. I don't want to spend more than 60 dollars, and as long as the sound quality is better than the ipod headphones it's good enough for me.

I've researched brands like skullcandy and earpollution, but there is so many choices I can't find the perfect pair I like. Also please tell me where I can buy them in stores or if not the website. Thank you!

Answer
There are a lot of choices for headphones. Important things for you to consider are how comfortable you want them to be for long listening sessions, whether you will use them while exercising and how much you are willing to spend.

For a fairly inexpensive earbud option that fits within your budget, I would recommend Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket earbuds. They have very good sound quality and come with both silicon and foam eartips to help you find the most comfortable fit. They will work with an iPhone or iTouch, too.

A good option is the ZAGG Audio Zbuds, especially if you are going to use the earbuds with an iPhone or an iTouch. They also have good sound quality and a built-in mic to use with voice calls.

More details and a review of each of these models can be found in the links below.

What are the best headphones for around 60 dollars?

Cameron

I am pretty desperate for some headphones. I've been looking at the Skullcandy Hesh or the skullcandy skullcrushers. Between those two, which should I get? And also, if you have any other suggestions*please tell and I'm looking to spend about 60 dollars on them. They need to look good and have good quality. BTW, I LOVE MY BASS. I listen to dubstep and such. HELP APPRECIATED :)

Answer
Neither, both those are fashion "gimmicks" with a very poor sound quality. Please go for reputable brands only such as Sennheiser, Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Etymotic or Audio-Technica.

What headphones are better than Beats by Dre?

EderM971

I have $100 to spend. I have read that Beats by Dr. Dre are too expensive for the quality of sound it provides and Sennheiser for $100 don't provide enough bass.

For $100 what pair of headphones will give me my money's worth best? I will only be using the headphones to listen to music and use on my laptop.

Answer
Sony Extra Bass. {Price Range $50.00 to $130} I have them and are very happy with them. Excellent bass, and sound quality. I tried my friends Beats By Dr. Dre and immediately went back to the Sony Extra Bass.
Some Reviews:
-The Headphones are SO VERY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
-Date:February 1, 2012
-Pros: PUMPS OUT GREAT BASS/GREAT SOUND/GREAT PRICE/CASE IS INCLUDED!
-Cons: There is not enough padding around the band that goes around your head, but plenty of comfort/padding for your ears!
So my review of this product is there very awesome high quality headphones! The sound is AMAZING!!!!! The BASS is like AWESOME!!!!!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!!!! & for what your getting for the price is just CRAZY!!!! You get a carrying Case with the headphones!!!!! & the headphones WAAAAY BETTER then Dr. Dre's as you save $170 BUCKS!!!!!(Studio) Or ($270 BUCKS if it's the PRO) & They PUMP OUT WAY BETTER & MORE BASS!!!!!! The only con is they really need to get some more padding on the band that goes around your head, but other then that, there AWESOME! & they have PLENTY of padding for your EARS!!!!! I mean, the padding for your ears are big as sleeping pillows, so don't worry about that :)
My final review... ALTHOUGH THE COMFORT WITH LACK OF PADDING IS A CON FOR ME... THE HEADPHONES HAVE AN AWESOME PUMPING BASS! HAVE AWESOME SOUND!!!!! AND HAVE A GREAT VALUE!!!!!! WORTH IT!!!!! ESPECIALLY OVER THE DR's Headphones!!!!!

The Headphones That Make Audiophiles Happy
Date:November 7, 2011
Pros: Rock Solid Frame, Rock Solid Sound
Cons: Personally: Cable Length
As said in the 'pros' section, the frame is quite robust. Since it is a 50 mm driver headphone, it would be quite heavy when you put it on your head but it's actually quite comfortable. After prolonged use, the frame flexes back into its original position preserving the headphone's original packaged presentation. (I would not recommend putting these around your neck and just use the included carrying pouch for transportation.)
Sony has had quite the reputation for producing some serious speakers in the past and it definitely shows with the XB700's. The bass doesn't explode in your ears, unless you want it to of course, courtesy of the ability to handle 3 watts of power, and the trebles are clear and crisp; despite this being a bass-heavy headphone. From classical and contemporary to trance and vocals, these headphones will reproduce all of the sounds with great precision and balance.
Overall, these headphones exceed most of my expectations of functionality and durability save for cable length. Though a longer length would probably mean that someone would carelessly step on the cable. I guess these headphones are not meant to be shared so why not make a stop at your local Sony Store and pick the headphones that make audiophiles happy.(hide)
